The Cross Plains Public Library has over 18,000 books including audio books, large print books, and a complete collection of Newbery & Caldecott children's books. Patrons can borrow any book or item that we don't own, if it is available, through our Interlibrary Loan program.

We provide many programs, both ongoing and special events. Check our news and calendar for schedules.
Year-round exciting and educational children's programs for are offered for children from babies to teens.
Our Meet the Author series allows you to mix with writers as they talk about their experiences writing and getting published.
The Oral History Project provides a great way to learn about the past.
Our Centurian Ranches and Farming Families Exhibit tells the histories of area families who have lived on their land 100+ years.
Our Polio Exhibit tells the history of the Polio Epidemic in our area.
Our fundraising events are always tasty, and/or fun! We appreciate your support!
Our growing Texana, genealogy and local history collections attract people from all over for research at our library, and we have a fine Robert E. Howard collection.
